• Writing Services. I have 12 years professional experience in magazine and newspaper journalism, working as a reporter, writer, associate editor, and managing editor for regional and national publications, both general interest and trade. I specialize in creative nonfiction and feature stories, and am comfortable writing about a wide range of topics. All articles are carefully crafted and written to a publication’s specific style and reading audience. My research and interview skills as well as my ability to meet tight editorial deadlines are time tested and proven.

• Copyediting services. My background as an associate editor and managing editor enables me to polish a document or manuscript, focusing on clarity and consistency of style, correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and word usage while maintaining the work’s integrity and the author’s original intent. I am well versed in the Chicago Manual of Style and the Associated Press Stylebook.

• Proofreading Services. With a large selection of reference books at my fingertips and extensive experience proofreading magazines, newspapers, and nonfiction manuscripts, I am skilled at finding the hard-to-spot errors. Incorrect spelling of proper names, typos and transpositions, line spacing errors, typestyle inconsistencies, dropped text, references that don’t correspond with in-text descriptions, word division errors, incomplete sentences, and more won’t slip past my careful reading and sharp pencil.

• Additional Services. As a trained investigative reporter, I provide research and fact-checking services that coincide with my writing, copyediting, and proofreading services or that may be used independently of those services to assure accuracy in your documents.
